Digital Challenges in the Work of the Health Manager of

the Student Dormitory

The main topic of this written work that extends through the written work is the digital tools
that are offered on the Internet and facilitate work, communication and collaboration when
working in the student dormitory. The aim of the presentation is to introduce colleagues to the
work of health workers in student dormitories, the challenges and problems they face in their
work, to improve communication and cooperation with other related institutions.
Through the presentation, I want to present to my colleagues how digital technology can
facilitate their everyday work.

The accelerated technological age does not allow healthcare professionals to neglect their IT
literacy. We keep up with digital challenges by working on ourselves, educating ourselves or
seeking adequate professional education. Most of the colleagues from the dormitories come
from the era when knowledge was transmitted through the classical way; oral presentation or
book. The new modern age offers students numerous opportunities and ways of education, and
we as employees are required to find digital tools every day that will make it easier for us to
get closer to them, to transfer the acquired knowledge and skills.

Digital competences make our daily work easier and at the same time more difficult. Through
our daily work with adolescent students, we seek a balance between reality and virtuality, we
try to understand and accept their virtual world and find our place in the modern information
age. The presented topic will be approached through examples from everyday practice.
