Photo-Video Club Vrapče
Teaching faces the challenge of engaging students while simultaneously delivering complex,
difficult, and sometimes tedious content. The development of information technology offers
new opportunities for lesson planning and delivery, encouraging greater student engagement
through content modification using multimedia resources. Video recordings provide a detailed
visual representation of procedures and skills, facilitating understanding of steps and sequences
of activities. High-quality video materials allow students to see how certain procedures or skills
are performed correctly, particularly in fields such as healthcare, technical trades, or artistic
techniques where precision is crucial. Watching videos repeatedly enables students to learn at
their own pace, increasing their chances of success and understanding.
Improving teaching requires continuous progress. To facilitate the acquisition of basic nursing
skills, a School Photo-Video Club Vrapče was established with basic recording equipment. The
club's task is to create video materials on standardized procedures in healthcare, with materials
freely available to all. The project was funded by the Ministry of Science and Education of the
Republic of Croatia. The project's success is measured by the quality and number of produced
video works within a specific time frame. From the delivery of equipment to the publication
date (4 months), a total of 7 videos have been produced, with a total duration of edited videos
exceeding 40 minutes, recorded and edited in HD resolution.
The application of video materials depicting specific procedures and skills opens doors to new
opportunities in education, providing students with an interactive, authentic, and flexible
learning experience. This technology is not just a tool for knowledge transfer but also a means
to encourage the development of practical skills and abilities in students.
