Introduction:
There are approximately 7.6 billion people in the world, yet about half the population feels
emotionally and physically disengaged within their community, and are lost in their thoughts.
Having daily interactions within society or through digital sources is a part of human nature.
Interacting with others is very important and also play an important role in an individuals’ life as
it keeps us connected and engaged within our society. Lack of interactions may result in negative
outcomes such as having individuals feel disconnected with themselves, their family, friends,
and their society. The three artifacts perceived in this “Black Book” all have the common theme
of isolation resonating within them.
