Victims of abuse in all its forms can have
physical and mental scars from their expe-
riences, and the trauma they suffered can
leave them believing themselves to be
without worth, without value. With support
and love, they can reclaim their lives, their Alex and Meghan Tapp
self-esteem, and their dignity.
It’s this transposing, transformative
work that The SAFE Alliance offers to
survivors of child abuse, domestic violence
and sexual assault and exploitation. To

this violence and to help survivors, the
Congressional Ballroom at the Fairmont
Austin in early November was transformed
into an enchanted forest with twinkling
lights, a few wee fairy sprites, flowing
gowns and floral crowns, all to raise money
to fund this vital work.
The SAFE Storybook Gala A Midsummer
Night’s Dream began with cocktails, con-
versation and silent auction bidding, all Beth and Frank Stabile Dr. Dan Richardson, Liza Richardson, Christine and Louie Messina
accompanied by ethereal harp music. Chief
