was the joy of listening to the whistle
of pressure cooker. Even though the
cooker was cheerfully whistling in
another team’s kitchen, it gave us
tremendous joy and confi dence that
cooking is defi nitely possible with
wood - and in the rain. Plus, we knew
that there was something to eat, even
though it was in other team’s den.
Just when we thought our camp was
ge ng easier and we were ge ng used
to of all that rush, Sundarijal’s weather
tricked us. There was a con nuous
downpour. We had no idea how to
cook food in rain with only woods and
in open space. We only knew one thing
that we had to survive. It feels amazing
now looking back at how we did it.
Only we know the kind of “so-called”
cooked food we ate.
