Ban on the publication of the Court proceedings can be placed temporarily by Court in exercise of inherent powers. (Sahara India Real Estate Corporation Limited v Securities and Exchange Board of India, AIR 2012 SC 3829 : (2012)10 SCC 603).
Custodial torture. Citizens have right to demand/receive compensation. (Sangeetaben Mahendrabhai Patel v State of Gujarat, AIR 2012 SC 2844 : (2012)7 SCC 621).
Public law remedy for the purpose of grant of compensation can be resorted to only when the fundamental right of a citizen under Article 21 of the Constitution is violated and not otherwise. (Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited v Ananta Bhattacharjee, AIR 2005 SC 1400 : (2004)6 SCC 213).

For safeguarding fundamental rights, the Court would interfere with State Policy meant to combat terrorism/insurgency, extremists. (Nandini Sundar v State of Chhattisgarh, AIR 2011 SC 2839 : (2011)7 SCC 547).
