THE POWER OF TAKING THE PLUNGE
I love the following quote by President Teddy
Roosevelt. It should inspire anyone who is
ready to step out of the comfort zone:
It is not the critic who counts, not the man who points
out how the strong man stumbles, or when the doer of
deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to
the man in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and
sweat and blood, who strives valiantly — who knows
the great enthusiasms, the great devotions, who spends
himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the
end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the
worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so
that his place shall never be with those cold and timid
souls who have known neither victory or defeat!

I encourage you to take risks — push against
the imaginary barriers of life. Swim in the deep
end! Choose to free-fall! Don’t worry about
failing. If you fail, it’s really okay! You’ll get up.
You’ll try again! You’ll make it!
It took me 15 years to work out I had no talent for
writing, but I couldn’t give it up because by then I was
too famous!
