This is a perfect analogy for success in every
area of our lives. It’s all about what you do
when no one is watching. It’s about what you
do to prepare. Do you walk in excellence? Do
you operate in integrity? Are all of your choices
bringing you closer to the fulfillment of your
dream?

Okay, now let’s go back to the chapter title, “If
it’s worth having, it’s hard to get.” This
statement is both true and untrue at the same
time. The bottom line is this; any choice you
make has ‘hard’ attached to it.

Choice #1: If you choose to live with intention
and fulfill your destiny, it will be hard. Things
will come against you. You’ll often have to go
against the status quo. You may feel lonely at
times and without encouragement. You’ll need
self-discipline, commitment, and to constantly
remind yourself that you can do this. You’ll
have to give yourself pep-talks and learn how to
quickly realign yourself when you start to drift
off course. Are all these things hard?
Absolutely!
