RANDY PERDUE

a degree would be living out the best version of
               themselves. Today’s statistics on career
               fulfillment prove otherwise. Gallup surveys
show that over 60% of the working population
across all career tracks, educational levels, and
industries are “not engaged” or are “actively
disengaged” from their work. It’s not that we,
as a whole, have lost our ability to connect with
meaningful work. I believe the answer to this
disengagement is the fact that most of us are
not living out our purpose. The work we are
doing might be meaningful to the right person,
               but not to us!

When we actively suppress the part of our being
that wants to dream and grow, and instead,
force ourselves onto paths that we imagine to
be less risky or more practical, we are settling
for a life we were never meant to live. You can
have all the education in the world, but if you’re
not actively reaching toward your individual life
purpose, something will always feel ‘off.’ It is
that unsatisfied gnawing that many of us can’t
               put our finger on.

The good news here is that your ‘why’ is right
where you left it and you can pick it up at any
