RANDY PERDUE
It's like the guy who pushed against all odds to
become the first entrepreneur in his family. He
started out cutting his neighbor's lawn, and now
ten years later he has seven crews who are
responsible for all the golf-course properties in
his town. What would happen if someone
walked up to him and offered him a secure
management job with an hourly pay rate? If
entrepreneurship is connected to his ‘why' and
he is living out his purpose, he would laugh at
that offer. Sure, it may seem like less work, less
responsibility, and a guaranteed paycheck, but
in reality, this man's passion is already attached
to his business. He is fulfilled. He is continuing
to grow. In fact, he just provided two jobs last
month to young men who are in the community
re-entry program. These men served time in
prison and now are receiving a second chance
at life. This extra layer of fulfillment further
connects this entrepreneur to his ‘why.' Do you
think he knew he'd be helping change lives
when he first felt that inner pull to start his own
lawn service company? Of course not, but he
had the courage to follow his inner compass.
He decided to say yes to that pull.
