C. For triangle D, the perimeter is greater than 24 cm because the
length of the side opposite the right angle ( ) called the hypotenuse,
is greater than 8cm
The hypotenuse = 8 2 + 8 2 = √128 = 11.3 cm .
Adding up all three sides is 8cm + 8cm + 11.3 = 27.3cm.
