1-4. Violence Free Workplace
Threats, destruction of property, threatening language, or any other unacceptable acts of aggression or violence of any kind made by any Company employee will not be tolerated.
1-5. Guns at Work
To the extent permitted by law, employees and visitors are prohibited from the possession of weapons while on Company premises.
Georgia Employees with Lawful Carry Permits
Regardless of what type of carrying permit a Georgia employee has, Georgia law prohibits bringing firearms onto private property without the expressed consent of the owner. Erbe’s private property begins just outside the employee’s motor vehicle and throughout the remainder of the Erbe campus. Employees are considered in violation of Erbe’s policies and procedures by taking such firearms outside of the motor vehicle, into the main campus building in Marietta, Georgia or to any customer meeting.
Employees that violate the Violence Free Workplace policy are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination, removal from company premises and legal prosecution.
1-5. Smoking/Vaping/E-Cigarette Policy
Erbe maintains a smoke-free work environment throughout the building. Employees may smoke/vape/use e-cigarettes in designated areas outside the building such as at their cars and the company patio. Smoking, vaping, or the use of e-cigarettes should be done on approved break and lunch periods; smokers/vapers are not afforded additional break periods for the purposes of smoking. Smokers/vapors must keep Erbe property free of trash by disposing of trash properly. Smoking, vaping, or using e-cigarettes within visual site of customers or visitors is prohibited.
1-7. Reporting Threats
Employees who feel that any of the policies meant to keep them safe are being violated or they become aware of any potentially dangerous situation, they must report it immediately to any member of management or Human Resources.
1-8. Workplace Injuries
All workplace injuries or illnesses, no matter how slight, must be reported immediately to an immediate supervisor and the Human Resources department. Employees who become injured on the job or ill due to their job, will be required to complete a First Report of Incident Form and return to the Human Resources department as soon as possible.
1-9. Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”)
Erbe complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) and applicable state and local laws providing for nondiscrimination in employment with respect to qualified individuals with disabilities, which includes reasonable accommodations.
Qualified individuals with disabilities may make requests for reasonable accommodation to Human Resources
