Unless there is a change in work hours or responsibilities, a flexible work arrangement does not affect pay or benefits.
6-4. Conflict of Interest and Outside Employment
Certain employees, depending on their position, may be permitted to work outside jobs. Employees wishing to work outside jobs should discuss with Human Resources and their respective managers prior to engaging in such employment.
Some positions are prohibited from engaging in any outside employment regardless of the type of employment. This applies to executives, other members of the management team, department heads as well as any employee in a sales or marketing function.
No employee may take an outside job, either for pay or as a donation of his or her personal time, with a customer or competitor of Erbe USA, Inc. Employees shall not do work on their own if it competes in any way with the sale of products or services the company provides to its customers.
While some employees may be permitted to work outside jobs, at no time should work from another job be performed during Erbe work hours. Work from outside employment or personal business endeavors should not have an adverse impact on the employee’s assigned job responsibilities.
Inability to perform job duties due to fatigue or anything related to outside employment may subject the employee to disciplinary action, up to and including demand that the outside employment be terminated or termination of Erbe employment.
Employees of Erbe USA, Inc. may not own, invest or have an interest in any entity that is a direct competitor, indirect competitor, or vendor of the company’s.
