Use of Company Vehicle
Erbe owns a company vehicle, whose primary use is to enable authorized employees to efficiently perform their job functions for the company. Only drivers with a valid driver’s license and covered by the Erbe automobile policy can drive the vehicle.
The vehicle should be reserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. In the case of conflicting requests, business priority will be the final determinant.
Authorized employees must sign the vehicle log in the logistic manager’s office. Employees are required to recording the mileage and general condition of the vehicle prior to departure. The authorized employee using the vehicle is fully responsible for the general maintenance and proper care of the vehicle. The driver is required to inform the logistics manager of any vehicle maintenance needs or safety problems upon return of the vehicle.
Employees should return the vehicle clean, free of trash, and fueled to the same level upon departure. Smoking is not allowed in company vehicle at any time. Use of cell phone is prohibited while operating the vehicle. Fuel usage for company business may be paid for out of petty cash or via normal expense reporting.
