key fob to the building, which grants them access based on their level of responsibility and job duties. Please handle with care and do not allow another individual to use a key not assigned to that individual, except in the case of an unusual emergency.
Visitors
During normal business hours, visitors need to register at the receptionist desk. Erbe allows visitors to enter work areas for business purposes only. The receptionist will issue the visitors a visitor badge and then call the appropriate employee to escort the visitor while in the building. Employees are to notify management should they see anyone in the building that looks suspicious, in a work area unescorted, or does not have an appropriate visitor’s badge. Visitors after business hours are generally prohibited.
Alarm System
The building is equipped with an alarm system. Depending on level of responsibility and on an as- needed basis, authorized employees are issued an alarm code, which is employee-specific and should never be given to another individual. If this alarm code becomes compromised in any way, employees are to alert Human Resources immediately.
At the end of the workday, the last such authorized employee should take the necessary steps to secure the building and ensure that the alarm system is set and properly functioning before leaving the building. Each employee provided an alarm code receives training on its use and what to do in the event the alarm is tripped.
Personal Property
Erbe does not assume responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of personal property on company premises, including the parking lot. Employees should refrain from bringing valuables to work or leaving them visible in parked cars. All employees are encouraged to lock valuables in their respective desks.
