NJCAA SWIMMING & DIVING AWARDS
Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving
NJCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championship Awards
1. Awards will be given to the first, second, and third place teams.
2. Individual medals shall be presented to the top-four finishers in each event, including relays.
3. Swimmer of the Meet Award (Scholarship and Non-Scholarship Awards) shall be presented. Award shall be based on
performance using points awarded for place finishes, one point for tying a national record and two points for breaking a
national record in all individual events. If a non-scholarship swimmer wins the Swimmer of the Meet, swimmer shall
receive both awards.
4. Diver of the Meet Award shall be presented. Award shall be based on performance using points awarded for place finish
in 1-Meter and 3-Meter diving only. One point awarded for tying a national record and two points awarded for breaking a
national record. The diver with the highest cumulative score will be declared the Diver of the Meet.
NJCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship Awards

NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association Awards (All awards ordered by the NJCAA And Billed to CA)
1. NJCAA Men’s Swimming Coach of the Year Award shall be presented at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
2. NJCAA Women’s Swimming Coach of the Year Award shall be presented at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving
Championships.
3. NJCAA Diving Coach of the Year Award shall be presented at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
4. NJCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Non-Scholarship Athlete of the Year Award shall be presented to a participant from a
non-scholarship team at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
5. NJCAA Women’s Swimming & Diving Non-Scholarship Athlete of the Year Award shall be presented to a participant from
a non-scholarship team at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
6. Participants finishing 5 through 8 place in each event, including relays, shall be presented medals in recognition of their

7. Al Zamsky Non-Scholarship Award shall be presented to the highest non-scholarship team finisher at the NJCAA Men's
Swimming & Diving Championship.
8. Spyke Johnson Non-Scholarship Award shall be presented to the highest non-scholarship team finisher at the NJCAA
Women's Swimming & Diving Championship.
9. Dr. Jack Cistriano Service Award shall be presented at the NJCAA Swimming & Diving Championships.
*Awards to be ordered by the NJCAA National Office and billed to the Coaches Association.
Special NJCAA Awards
The National Aquatic Service, Inc., Syracuse, New York, shall sponsor an Annual Service Recognition Award. The NJCAA
Swimming & Diving Coaches Association shall consider recognition annually to an individual who has distinguished
himself/herself through a wide variety of capacities to the Association. The Secretary of the NJCAA Swimming & Diving
Coaches Association shall be responsible for receiving nominations of qualified individuals. The Awards, Records, and Top
Times Committee shall present nominations for this award at the annual NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association
meeting. Guidelines:
1. Award shall be considered each year. If no nominations are received, no award shall be given.
2. Nominations must be in written narrative form and carry the endorsement of more than one individual. The nomination
deadline is March 1.
3. The criteria for this service award should include a wide variety of capacities. Some criteria in the following areas should
be considered:
a. Service to NJCAA Swimming & Diving.
b. Contributions and efforts for swimming and diving at an individual's local, state, and national level.
c. NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Association service.
d. NJCAA Swimming & Diving Coaches Achievements.
