to the coach, player or institutional personnel who violates the regulations pertaining to conduct. Copies of the letter of reprimand will be sent to the
Director of Athletics, the President of the institution and the Region Director and/or National Office.
Probation, suspension and other penalties: If the misconduct is serious enough, the Region Director or Assistant Region Director during regular
season and/or Region Tournament competition and the Executive Director or his/her designee during District and/or National postseason
competition may issue other penalties which may include, but are not limited to, probation, suspension or disqualification of the coach, player or
institutional personnel from participating in one or more contests.
Article XVII
COACHES ASSOCIATION PROCEDURES
Coaches Associations – Mission
The mission of coaches associations is to support and enhance the experiences and opportunities for NJCAA student-athletes and coaches.
Coaches Association – Membership
A. Any member college paying dues to a specific sport coaches association shall have their head coach and staff as a member of the NJCAA
Coaches Association for that specific sport
B. For voting purposes each college is only entitled to one vote per college
C. Annual association dues amounts are requested by the president of the individual CA, then approved by the sport committee chair and brought
forward to the Board of Regents for final approval or adoption
D. Those NJCAA coaches associations who have dual membership will be responsible for processes and procedures in which adhere to the
national sport coaches associations
Coaches Association – Duties and Responsibilities
A. Coaches Association members are responsible for the following:
a. Representing the coaches of the NJCAA in that particular sport
b. Working to support and promote the student-athletes of that particular sport
c. Coaches Association president serves as a voice to the sport committee
d. Working in accordance to NJCAA policies and procedures
e. Working in accordance to NJCAA national office staff member
B. President
a. Provide leadership and oversee all meetings
b. Manage and adhere to all processes and procedures in accordance with the NJCAA coaches association policies
c. Work directly with the NJCAA national office liaison for all systematic needs such as Hall of Fame, Awards, Elections, and budget
d. Work with treasurer to prepare and present budget
e. Submit and approve necessary reimbursements or other financial needs
C. Vice President
a. Serve as the role of president in the absence of the president
b. Other duties as assigned by the president
D. Treasurer
a. Approve and oversee the budget directly with the president
b. Other duties as assigned by the president
E. Secretary
a. Record and process meeting notes for all meetings
b. Other assignments by the president
Coaches Association – Processes
Section 1. Elections

A. Nominations for any coaches association must take place between March 1 and April 1 to begin the following fiscal year

B. Elections must take place between April 2 – May 1

a. The following positions must be elected – President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary

C. The term runs from August 1 – July 31 of each year
D. Length of officer terms are set by the individual coaches association not to exceed two years
E. Elections must be managed through the national office liaison
F. Each paying institution is entitled to one vote
Section 2. Hall of Fame Inductions
A. Hall of Fame nominations must be sent by the Coaches Association President to the NJCAA National Office liaison.

2. Sports of Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Track and Field, Cross Country, Tennis & Golf between September 1 - September30
B. Voting will be conducted by the national office liaison for the following:

2. Sports of Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Wrestling, Bowling, & Swimming and Diving between June 1 & June 30

3. Sports of Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Track and Field, Cross Country, Tennis & Golf between October 1 and October 31
C. Voting must incorporate all member colleges who have paid membership dues during that year- limit one vote per college.
D. Hall of Fame Inductions will be announced publicly by the NJCAA national office during the week of championships for each of these sports.
E. Coaches associations must determine how to honor the recipients and let the national office know by the following dates:

a. Sports of Volleyball, Soccer, Football, Wrestling, Bowling, & Swimming and Diving by July 15

b. Sports of Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Track and Field, Cross Country, Tennis & Golf between November 15
F. Individual Coaches Associations are responsible for notifying the recipients of any plans/awards
