not being carried within God’s Word-Being. Yet how much more, and how far grander it would be to say that God’s Word is being carried as it generates the World out of nothing! For that which is being carried within God supersedes that which is carried. The first is always indwelling, objectively, eternally so; the second is always dwelling without, subjectively so. And yet, how much more exalted to say, “God’s Word is being carried in your soul, generating the grand words out of the Spirit-Word heard, generating the World and its potentialities out of the unseen will of His Word-Being?” Are these no less grand than saying that the beautiful Word and the World are being carried in God and in your soul ever so much more since the cross redeemed you and me, he and she, and all? For the Eternal Word and World, ever dwelling and indwelling in the Word as the Word, the Word: the Word is Being within the Spirit — it is the Spirit-Word.
Yahweh’s immanent divine presence in His Word indwells, just as His divine presence indwells in His silence. If He remained silent, nothing would exist, yet “the face of the waters” would have still felt His presence. Had He remained silent as in Mr. Poe’s fabled Silence, prophecy would have been silenced, and His omniscient and omnipresent Word would not have been heard by Moses, Isaiah or Elijah or Christ. It would have neither spoken, in timelines to come, to a weary Milton, nor to a Dante of the wandering dark wood of angst, as he journeyed, his “right way blurred and lost” — for “how hard it was [is] to say what that wood
