In this sense, the Eagle symbolizes the divine, harmonious justice emanated by the Tetraktys. Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, exacting divine punishment and reward for earthly actions, become mirrors of the One and Ten, of God and Christ as the divine Eagle of light and of justice. God and Christ, Father and healer of the world, become the emblematic effulgent and living shield far grander than any Aeneas’ bronze. Its two-fold brilliance reflects, on one side, the 500 10 5, and on the other, the 515, two as one, and one as two. In this prophetic twice-revealing form, dwells Dante’s Hound, the redeeming and resurrected Christ of 2 Corinthians 5:15,120 the blessed and grace-overflowing Christ of Romans 5:15,121 the healing Christ of John 5:15122 and Luke 5:15,123 the just Christ of Isaiah 5:15,124 and the wise Christ of Matt. 5:15.125 Pentads and pentads belonging as much to five-pointed global Epsilons as to Ms, substratum of Eagles, whose heart-shaped wings share the form of
Christ’s divine heart. The pentad, always at the centre of all 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 things in line and square,126 was named cardiatis or cordialis:
the heart of all manifestation. Just as the pentad is at the
centre of all things, so is the heart the mid-most pulse of the
body.127 Hence, Christ’s human-divine heart is the centre of 7 8 9 3 6 9 centres for it is ruled by Love divine. To paraphrase Paradiso:
God is the lucente (effulgent light) and Christ the viva luce (living light):128 both are one with Love just as both share the same substance. Jesus is homooúsios with God the Father,129 both made of the same substance: One as Ten and Ten as

129 See Nicene Creed from First Council of Nicea of 325 a.d. The Nicean Creed reads in part, “We believe in one God, the Father almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, begotten of the Father, the only begotten, that is, of the essence of the Father, God of God, Light of Light, very God, very God, begotten not made, being of one substance with the Father... [But those who say: 'There was a time when he was not;' and 'He was not before he was made;' and 'He was made out of nothing,' or 'He is of another substance' or 'essence,' or 'The Son of God is created,' or 'changeable,' or 'alterable'—they are condemned by the holy catholic and apostolic Church].
