 tall. Dark brown variating/ streaky Tenmoku type stoneware glaze.Rear handle. Two particularly gory very large sprigs
to sides - one of hounds attacking a stag, the other a boar. Hand inscribed to front Frank
Bibby. Doulton base marks & signature. Never seen
 another - a really superb piece.

 33. SILENUS & BACCHUS RELIEF MOULDED JUG. 3.3ins tall. Mid brown salt glaze jug, rear handle, flared foot. C. 1850-60. Deep moulded figures to both sides. This the smallest, scarcest, of the classic jug set. Crude manufacture, no damages. 9/10 £40-50+

tall. Unusual straight
sided, handled grey
green type stoneware
mug (Chesterfield
region manufacture)
with 2 side sprigs
plus a distinctive pie
crust slab to front,
lettering infilled with manganese oxide.
Nelson were water filter manufacturers so hence most likely a promotional piece for their products? Never seen another. Crude manufacture, no damages. 9/10 £120-150+
on plinth with two horizontal curved sections to plinth - hinting at a desktop inkwell - pen rests? Exc/ A1. Superb! 10/10 NR £30-40+
34. BRAMPTON (?) SPRIGGED HUNTING JUG. 6.5ins tall, t.t.
salt glaze. Greyhound handle, floral sprigs around the neck. A fairly standard spig below of trees & an unusual one of a horseman, but to one side a wonderful sprig of the Good Samaritan. Superb
     32. TRADESMANS PLUMBERS PIPE FITTING. 3.5ins tall. Dark brown salt glaze tradesmans pipe - to promote sales to plumbers. Impressed to front BETSOHDORF/ BAB-RHIN, to rear FOUSSES & maybe SYRUX (?) - not too legible. Pipe set
quality, flake off sprig &
a couple of tiny nicks on bottom edge. Superb quality. 9/10 £60-80+
