Running a successful country club is challenging. The dynamics of staff recruitment and retention needed to deliver a quality product in today’s environment is on a collision course with the increasingly high expectations from the new member demographic. Staff and members are pushing
for technology that allows for better communication, transparency, and accessible information.
As Westmount is a top performing club within the industry, I took this as a challenge to find the right technology that could build a better Club Culture through enhanced engagement.
While there are many apps out there that offer solutions, I hoped to find just one to keep my life simple. Through the due diligence process, we found apps for just staff and others for just members but only one that included both.
Club Core, is a staff and member centric engagement platform that focuses on several key aspects of the business we were looking to cover off.

The Club Core platform understands your organization and helps manage access to information based on who you are and what role you play within the club. Staff, members, committees, boards see what is relevant to them. Everyone can stay current and up to date.
As we continue to roll out the different features of Club Core, we are finding more and more synergies within our business.
Notice Board used to post staff information about, career opportunities, menu changes, daily event details and feel good stories. Also used to post member information about daily menu specials, sports and rec activities, golf course conditions and general club updates
Digital Forms and checklists to monitor maintenance schedules, captures electronic signatures
Documents library providing up to date minutes and agendas for various committees
E-Course library with plenty of content or we loaded some of our own Direct messaging for our many tennis, golf and curling groups to
empower better collaboration and conversation.
Club Core has been easy to activate as they did most of the work to customize our site prior to launching it.
It has been an interesting process and I learned a ton about what we need to do in order to stay ahead of the curve.
The club industry is a competitive market and as such, to be successful requires hard work. Technology like Club Core helps us be more efficient and effective in delivering the best experience for our staff and members.
