Iwould like to start with saying thank you to James Cronk, author of the feature in the previous issue of Golf Business Canada Magazine, for his opening remarks regarding Kyle (the backshop employee). We share the same name and I too worked the backshop for many years while working at Couchiching Golf Club in Orillia, ON. However, the connection ends there I’m afraid, as I showed up on time!
As a matter of fact, I was and still am the guy who can’t be late. I continued loving the golf industry, working as an Assistant Professional at Hawk Ridge Golf Club, followed by Associate Professional at The Mad River Golf Club and completing my golf career as the General Manager at Orchard Beach Golf Club.
Why do I tell you of my career background...well, credibility and connection to my audience of course! All kidding aside, it truly led me to my career of choice as a Payroll Sales Specialist. Yes, I’m serious! While at Orchard Beach, I “made it” in the golf industry...I was the Captain of the ship. I knew everything and could share all my expertise.
