POSITIVE SOCIAL OUTCOMES
Another focus of the Golf in Canada Economic Impact Study 2023 was the social impact the golf industry has in our society. During the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic, golf courses suffered like most businesses. There were significant challenges that we all faced: restrictions on gatherings; rules on how to operate businesses; disruptions to events; and limits on how to manage the golf course and staff. These obstacles did not stop the golf industry from quickly adapting to the situation and becoming a leader on how to flourish during the pandemic.
