The Fall Field Day Champion and overall Low Gross winner was Superintendent Kaleb Fisher of the Chilliwack Golf Club. President John McLinden, AGS, presented Kaleb with a prize and flag.
This year’s Fall Field Day was a
unique experience as the CGSA partnered with the BCGSA’s Exchange Event in British Columbia. Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club and University Golf Club graciously hosted participants from all over the country to experience outstanding playing conditions and the opportunity to play at two of Vancouver’s excellent courses.
The event kicked off with the Toro Welcome Reception at Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club the evening before golf began. Everyone enjoyed the delicious food stations and hors d’oeuvres while using the opportunity to connect in person in the elegant atmosphere.
President John McLinden, AGS, thank- ing and presenting the host award to Shaughnessy Golf & Country Club Super- intendent, Andrew Hart.
The next morning, everyone returned to Shaughnessy for the Fall Field Day and had breakfast and coffee sponsored by Nufarm. Before golf began, a member of the Musqueam Band blessed the land. The golfers then prepared for an unforgettable day of golf where the greens were fast, the day stayed dry, and the company was second to none. Thank you to host Superintendent Andrew Hart and his team for the outstanding playing conditions. Following golf, the participants were treated to a delectable meal at the Syngenta Awards Dinner followed by award presentations and sponsor acknowledgements.
