Registration for the program starts a couple of weeks after the club opens in the spring. The Academy begins the first Monday following the May long week- end every year and continues until the end of August.
The price for the entire season, in- cluding lessons, the weekly hot dog and drink, the chance to win a Ring Pop every week, plus a registration gift, is only $55.
We offer a choice of times for the parents and a great opportu- nity for these kids to get started in golf. The children can bring their own clubs but are not required to, as there are hundreds of clubs of all sizes and both hands available to use compliments of the local supporting boards.
The children in each session work their way through three sta- tions: full swing, chipping, and putting. We work in a group setting and encourage the parents to be involved.
When the session is over, the kids head to the dining room for a hot dog and a juice box. The kids who sink their last putt or chip also receive a Ring Pop, which has proven to be a huge motivator!
