Dain left Victoria in 2018 when he accepted the position of Assistant Superintendent at the Marine Drive Golf Club. Dain led the maintenance department for a period while the club was in the process of hiring a Superintendent. He spearheaded some important modifications within a very established crew. Jamie Robb, AGS, Superintendent of Marine Drive Golf Club was hired in the spring of 2019.
“Dain quickly, yet peacefully, began a transformation at Marine Drive that was very much needed to get it up to speed with modern maintenance practices and standards at a private club,” said Jamie. He also added, “Upon my being appointed as Golf Course Superintendent in April of 2019, he had already completed the worst of the clean-up and had begun implementing many great practices and policies that are still in effect today.”
Jamie adds, “Dain is well known to the membership at Marine Drive and is a valuable contributor to the Links Committee and Golf Course Planning Committee, for which he is accountable for taking minutes and providing detail regarding on-course topics. He also plays golf with members on Men’s nights each year, as well as with his direct reports. Since joining Marine Drive, Dain spearheaded the BCGSA Assistants
