What unique and entertaining special events or theme nights do you offer to increase food and beverage revenue during
the season?
Weekly Parent’s
Battle Of The Bays; Blow Out Nights!
We encourage food and beverage sales during the season by offering repeat annual or bi-annual “club-style” events. “Battle of the Bays” is where two neighbouring communities, Norway Bay & Sand Bay, play golf, stay for dinner, and enjoy dancing and entertainment in the evening.
We provide a Wing Night every Friday for the cottagers who are just arriving at the cottage and do not want to cook. We also have one “blow-out” themed event in our banquet facility each year, when we vary the entertainment. Many of the same customers participate annually. This year we are providing a “Fun Casino Night” with a “Fire Performance” during the evening, including fire jugglers, fire eaters, and dancers. This is a great opportunity for the cottage community to dress up and let loose!

Saturday Night Is Couples Night!
One effective way that we have increased our revenues is by hosting a Saturday Night Couples Night. Many people between the ages of 25-65 are looking for ways to enjoy a night out, but not in the atmosphere of a bar or lounge. Since we started this initiative, the numbers have grown and we have reached upwards of 35 couples on any given Saturday.
This initiative has been a great way to create food and beverage revenue on Saturday Night, which was notoriously slow, due to the fact that many members would escape the city and head to one of the outlying lakes.

Special
We host 1,000 kids for our junior academy. Every week, the kids receive a hot dog and juice box and we offer a Parent’s Special. We average over 100 Parent’s Specials every Monday and Wednesday. Our Food and Beverage Manager takes her clipboard out to the greeting (5, 6, or 7pm), takes pre- orders and has them ready when the kids and parents come in.
We post on our Facebook page what the weekly specials are. We do not discount the product; it is special in the sense that we can provide it for the parents.

Networking Thursdays
This year we have started “networking Thursdays.” On Thursdays we invite professionals, independent workers, and business people, to play 9 holes at 4:30pm and then we serve a three or four course meal. The menu changes every week and we charge $32 all-in. We are providing a fantastic opportunity for professionals to meet, network, and work on their game. Daniel Pilon, Président
