Your clubhouse is not simply a refuge for golfers when they are not on the links but the nexus of your members/clients social inter- action. It must serve as a practical beacon that preserves your current golfers’ needs and will attract new golfers.
The current overarching issue faced by golf course owners and operators is managing overall revenues especially with minimal increases in rounds played and member time spent within the
overall facility. A key solution to dealing with this reality is to con- sider the state of your clubhouse and how it can be made current.
TIME TO CHANGE
There are several significant social and cultural changes affecting all of our day to day and business lives. Significantly they are; the aging demographic and the modern family.
These realities demand that golf course owners and operators
adapt and in so doing, upgrade their facilities to embrace these changing needs. These are com- plex challenges as the traditional values must be balanced with the need to provide a significant family environment.
There is a further overall social consideration of time, as no one seems to have much of it available. A golf course must aim to capture as much as possible of its customers time so that all will benefit!
