Sunday afternoon, 27 October, was the PEARS HF DX Contest, the exchange was a signal report and your CQ
Zone, the same as the still ongoing CQ Widewide Contest, Nico and Stephen met at the clubhouse to try work
some DX,. Sadly, today the 15 meter band was mostly dead, after Nico had left, Stephen only managed to work
one contact on 20 meters.
GO BOKKE After sitting at the clubhouse for 2&1/2 hours,
answering DX calls, and getting nowhere, it was
quite disheartening at times, not wanting to give up
too soon, I kept at it. Heard some interesting calls
on the air though, including V85RH, Brunei.

The station was fairly loud and clear, but alas could
not hear me. 14.285 MHz
