Hace tres años conocí a Alfonso Schlegel, desde aquel día guardaba un
grato recuerdo de su sencillez y sensibilidad.

Unos meses atrás, se me ocurrió proponerle una fiesta, juntando alrededor
de una copa de vino a unos grandes amigos, Fernando, Emily, Federico,
Walt, Rosalía, y tantos otros que han hecho poesía sobre el vino.

Como no podía ser de otra forma, Alfonso Schlegel se mostró encantado
de participar en la fiesta, y la completó invitando a unos amigos suyos,
amantes del vino, de la poesía y de la vida a incorporarse a la reunión.
Y con el fondo de las palabras del amigo Robert Louis Stevenson, que
decía que "el vino es poesía embotellada", les invito a levantar su copa y
disfrutar de esta fiesta, que comienza ahora…

I met Alfonso Schlegel three years ago, and since then I have had happy
memories of his naturalness and sensitivity.
A few months ago I thought of proposing a party to him, getting some great
friends to meet around a glass of wine, Fernando, Emily, Federico, Walt,
Rosalía, and so many others who wrote poetry about wine.
As it could not be otherwise, Alfonso Schlegel was delighted to take part in
the party, and completed it by inviting a few friends of his, lovers of wine,
poetry and life, to join the meeting.
And with the background of the words by our friend Robert Louis
Stevenson, who said that "wine is bottled poetry", I invite you to raise your
glass and enjoy this party, which is just beginning…
