6. Columns leveling
a. Locate the two high precision inclinometers

b. Locate the new set of “L-Shape” brackets designed

to attach to the table assembly and provide a more
convenient way to position the inclinometers.
c. Provide image of the new “L-shaped brackets

designed to place the inclinometers.
d. Position the inclinometers on the “L-shape” bracket
to check and adjust the verticality (level) of the
column.

e. If the new brackets are not available, proceed to
position the inclinometers as shown on the image.

f. Adjust the verticality of the column by adjusting the Nivell leveling bolts. There should only be

minor adjustments as the Nivell plates were previously leveled using the leveling plates.
g. Try to adjust slowly in small amounts and always count turns using the reference marks.

h. The criteria to meet is: (< 0.02mm) – Apply to both columns.
i. Proceed to tighten and torque down the first column with X4 (M20x45) bolts following the
sequence described in TABLE 1.
