SPECIAL OLYMPICS ARIZONA UNIFIED BOWLING OFFICIAL EVENTS:
Doubles:
Unified Sports® Male: Consists of one male athlete and one male partner
Unified Sports® Female: Consists of one female athlete and one female partner
Unified Sports® Mixed: Consists of one male/female athlete and one male/female partner
Team Bowling:
Unified Sports® Male: Consists of two male athletes and two male partners
Unified Sports® Female: Consists of two female athletes and two female partners
Unified Sports® Mixed: Consists of two male/female athletes and two male/female partners

UNIFIED SPORTS® RULES:
There are few differences in the rules for Unified Sports® competition as stipulated in the Official
Special Olympics Sports Rules Book and modifications outlined in the rules book.
The additions are highlighted below:
A roster consists of a proportionate number of athletes and partners.
An athlete is a person with intellectual disabilities.
A partner is a person without intellectual disabilities
Teams are division for competition based primarily on ability.
Team sports must have an adult, non-playing coach. Player-coaches are not allowed in
team sports.
