Evaluation in Primary
Assessment is a tool that is of use to the teaching and learning process which is part of classroom activity, and is intended to guide the regulation of teaching processes according to their adaptation to students’ learning processes. During Primary Education, assessment of the student’s learning processes is continuous and comprehensive and takes into account his or her progress in all areas. During this stage, special attention is paid to offering personalised attention to students, conducting early diagnoses and establishing support mechanisms to achieve success at school. Within the context of the continuous assessment process, when the student’s progress is not adequate, educational support measures will be established. These measures shall be adopted at any time during the school year as soon as difficulties are detected and will be directed towards guaranteeing acquisition of the competences needed to continue the educational process.
