9. Women in Microbiology

A group of women ASM Young Ambassadors representing Latin American countries
organized a joint series of seminars about Mujeres en Microbiología (Women in
Microbiology) to provide a space for women scientists to talk about their research topics
and about their professional experiences as scientific leaders. This effort allowed to inspire
and empower a new generation of students, educators and scientists in Latin America.
