SECTION 4 : First Aid Measures
Inhalation: Remove the exposed individual from area to fresh air and keep the
person calm. If difficulties occur and/or symptoms persist, consult a
physician.
Skin contact: Wash affected areas thoroughly with flowing water or shower. If
irritation develops, seek medical attention. Remove contaminated
clothing.
Eye contact: Wash with plenty of water at least 15 minutes. If irritation develops,
seek medical attention.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. If difficulties occur, seek medical
attention.
Note to physician: Treatment may vary with condition of victim and specifics of incident.
SECTION 5 : Fire fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Water, dry chemical extinguishing media,carbon
dioxide or foam.
Fire fighting instruction: Keep personnel removed from and upwind of fire.
Wear full bunker gear and respiratory protection.
Cool container with water spray.
Keep personnel out of fire area except for
responsible people.
Further information: Dense smoke produced during combustion may
obscure vision. To prevent re-ignition of interior,
target center of fire with large amounts of water.
Vapors are heavier than air and may accumulate in
low areas and travel a considerable distance up to
the source of ignition.
SECTION 6 : Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Avoid inhalation. Ensure adequate ventilation. Wear
appropriate respiratory protection.
Environmental precautions: Discharge into the environmental must be avoided. Do not
release untreated into natural waters.
