There are three focus areas to help achieve the
targeted goals: reduce environmental triggers,

increase the quality of care, and to strengthen asthma
coalition infrastructure including State, County, and

Community coalition and grassroots efforts. These are
the areas in which stakeholders will engage with the
Plan and do their work. The strategies implemented

by partners who are concerned with asthma and
asthma-related issues in Indiana fall under these three

focus areas.

Within each focus area, there are several objectives,

which were presented and refined in the five regional
meetings. The final list of targets is included in the

plan. When it was possible, data was used to identify
the measurement of the progress of each objective
for each focus area. A table containing the objective

measures is included in Appendix B.
