The planning process began in January 2017. It was designed to solicit broad and diverse
stakeholder participation with diverse representation from around the state – geographically,
organizationally, and regarding interests, sectors, and expertise. This resulted in a statewide plan
that connects the work of partners across the state, encompassing organizational, statewide, and
national priorities for reducing the asthma burden in Indiana. Five regional meetings were held
throughout the state in to gather stakeholder input:
• Evansville
• Ft. Wayne
• Hammond
• Indianapolis
• South Bend
