P. 15
There are currently 51 members of the Professional Putters Association’s Hall of
Fame. Each member has contributed to the PPA in his or her own means as a
player or administrator. But what it means to be a member has more to do with
the contribution to the history of the game than any personal achievement.
Being a member of the Hall of Fame conveys that the person has attained a level
of contribution that has exceeded an average level of play or involvement. The
person is highly respected for his or her contribution, and this contribution is now
being recognized by being enshrined with a group of distinguished members. For
each person in the Hall of Fame, the representation may have a different
meaning, but being a member does provide personal gratification that his or her
fellows appreciate the contribution. This year’s inductee will be just as
appreciative as the previous 51 members – and will cherish the title with pride.
Congratulations #52!
