Community Connections and Partnerships Service Area
The ranger services work group belongs in this division and is under the Community Connections
and Partnerships manager’s direction. The service area manager is responsible for overseeing three
work groups that interact with the community for planning, education and outreach, volunteer
management, and to welcome visitors to Boulder’s open space land. These work groups include
Ranger Services, Outreach, Education and Volunteers, and Planning.
This service area staff works directly with the community and has the greatest interaction with the
public. Its primary responsibilities include strategic policy planning, resource and recreation
management planning, as well as coordinating activities, resources, and messaging and sharing
community input across all other work groups.
