The meeting of the father and son after so ma years of separation was a great joy to both. When Joseph saw his father, he fell upon his neck and, embracing him, he wept. And Jacob said to Joseph, "Now shall I die with joy, because I have seen thy face and leave thee alive.'' Joseph took his father and brothers to Pharao, who gave to Jacob the land of Gessen.
Jacob lived in Egypt seventeen years. One day word was brought to Joseph that his father was sick, and he at once set out to go to him, taking with him his two sons, Manasses and Ephraim. When Jacob heard that Joseph was coming, his strength returned to him, and he sat up in his bed to greet him. Seeing Manasses and Ephraim, he asked, ''Who are these?'' Joseph answered, "They are my sons, whom God hath
