given me in this land." Jacob said," Bring them to me that I may bless them.'' When they came close to him, he kissed and embraced them and said, "These two sons of thine who were born to thee in the land of Egypt before I came hither shall be mine. They shall take the place of Ruben and Simeon.''
Jacob called his sons around him and foretold all h­ that would happen to them and to their descendants. i
To Juda he said, ''Juda, thee shall thy brethren of J ob praise; thy hands shall be on the necks of thy ene­ mies; the sons of thy father shall bow down to thee.
The scepter shall not be taken away from Juda, nor a
ruler from his thigh, till He come that is to be sent, and He shall be the Expectation of Nations."
