not do as the Lord commanded. He would not let the Children of Israel go out of the land of E pt.
When this plague had lasted seven days, God com- man ed Moses and Aaron to go to Pharao again, and to say to him, "The Lord God of the Hebrews saith, 'Let My people go to sacri ce to Me. But if thou wilt not let them go, I will ll all thy land with frogs. Frogs will enter thy house, and thy beds, and thy ovens and the houses of thy servants.' '' But Pharao heeded not their words.
When they went out from Pharao's presence, Aaron raised his rod over the waters, and at once the land was overrun with frogs. The ma cians also caused frogs to come forth upon the land.
Pharao sent for Moses, and said to him, ''Pray to thy God to take the frogs away from me and my peo ple, and I will let the Israelites go to sacri ce to their Lord.''
oses believed Pharao. He begged God to remove the plague. In answer to the prayer of Moses, all the frogs died. They were gathered together in heaps, and the land was lled with their decaying bodies.
en Pharao saw that the plague had ended, he refused to let the Israelites leave Egypt. Then Aaron struck the dust of the earth with his rod, and God sent a plague of eas which caused great discomfort. The magicians also attempted to do the same, but could not. They therefore said to Pharao, '' This is the nger of God,'' but he would not heed them.
