THE SHEPH S VISIT THE INFANT JESUS
and they said one to another, ''Let us go over to Beth­ lehem, and let us see this word that is come to pass, which the Lord hath showed to us."
They hastened to Bethlehem, and there they found Mary and Joseph, and the Infant lying in a manger. Kneeling down, they adored their Savior.
The shepherds returned to their ocks, glorifying and praising God for all the thi s they had heard and seen.
According to the law, eight days later the Child was Their­ circumcised nd His name was called Jesus,. which was cu•s the name given to Him by the angel Gabriel when he
had appeared to Mary. The name Jesus means Savior.
