ing to the Law of Moses, He was to be presented to the Lord. While they were o ering the sacri ce which the law required of the poor-a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons-the Holy Spirit led a man named Simeon into the Temple.
Simeon lived in Jerusalem. He was an old man, holy and devout, who throughout his long life had prayed and waited for the Savior. The Holy Ghost had answered his prayer and promised him that he should not see death before he had seen Christ the Lord.
