was from God. But they were also attracted by His meekness and His kindness toward everyone. He loved the poor, and was eager to instruct the ignorant. He healed the sick, and was merciful to sinners. He said, "Come to Me, all ye that labor and are heavily burdened, and I will refresh you. Take up My yoke upon you and learn of Me, because I am meek and humble of heart, and you shall  nd rest for your souls, for My yoke is sweet and  y burden light.''
The great holiness of His life could be seen by everyone. Even His enemies were never able to prove that He had committed the slightest sin. Because He was holy, the pure of heart loved to be near Him, ,rhile sinners were turned from their wickedness and came to Him for forgiveness. Of course, many people came to Him because they were curious to see Him perform miracles, but often they, too, received the grace to love Him and to follow Him.
Jesus did not hold himself aloof from the people, The but was always ready to take part in their innocent ma age
pleasures. Thus, at the very beginning of His public life, He was invited to attend a wedding feast at Cana, in Galilee. Mary, His Mother, was also invited. TakĀ­ ing with Him His  rst disciples, Jesus left the Jordan and made the long journey into Galilee, in order to be present at the feast.
In the midst of the feast, Mary noticed that the servĀ­ ants were greatly worried. She asked them what was the matter, and they told her that the wine had given out. Mary came to Jesus and said, ''They have no wine." Jesus answered, "What is that to Me and to
