bridegroom had made a mistake in serving the best wine last. So he called him and said, '' Every man at rst setteth forth good wine, and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse. But thou hast kept the good wine until now.'' This was the rst miracle that Jesus worked. He performed it at the request of His blessed Mother, so that these friends of His would not be deprived of happiness on their wedding day.
