destroy souls but to save,'' and they went into another town.
Another day, John came to Jesus and said, "Master,
we saw a certain man casting out devils in Thy name,
and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us.,,
But Jesus said, "Do not forbid him. No man that doth a miracle in My name can soon speak ill of Me. For he that is not against you, is for you.''
One day some mothers brought their little children to Jesus that He might lay his hands upon them and bless them. Knowing that Jesus had been working very hard and was tired out from His labors, the apostles scolded the mothers for not being more thoughtful, and tried to send the children away.
When Jesus saw this, He was very much displeased and said to the apostles, ''Su er the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. Amen, I say to you, unless you become as little children, you cannot enter the KingĀ dom of Heaven.'' Taking the children into his arms, He embraced them and, laying His hands upon them, blessed them.
On another occasion our blessed Savior spoke to His disciples about children. "He that receiveth a little child in My name,'' he said, ''receiveth Me. But he that shall scandalize one of these little ones that beĀ lieve in Me, it were better for him that a millstone should be hanged about his neck and that he should be drowned in the depths of the sea. See that you despise
