THE SEA OF GALILEE
Jes  In the beginning of His public life, Jesus was held feeds the in great admiration by the people. They were always mullitude crowding around Him and they gave Him no chance to
rest either day or night. They did not even give Him time to eat. It was no wonder, then, that sometimes Jesus grew very tired.
When the apostles returned from their  rst misĀ­ sionary journey, they found the Savior worn out. They, too, were weary and footsore, and their hearts were  lled with sadness because they had just heard of the death of John the Baptist. Jesus said, "Let us go apart by ourselves into some desert place, and there
you may rest yourselves for a little time.''
Near at hand was the Sea of Galilee. The apostles found a boat and, accompanied by our blessed Savior, set sail for the northern shore.
