heard her story, he went forth to meet Abraham's servant and conducted him to his home.
After they had welcomed Eliezer, they sat down to eat. But Eliezer would not cat until he had explained his errand. When he told them how his meeting with Rebecca was an answer to his prayer, they consented to let her go with him to Chanaan.
Eliezer gave presents to Rebecca, to her brothers, and to her mother. The next morning they set out for Chanaan. Isaac was the  rst person to greet  em when they arrived home, and, with the blessing of Abraham, his father, he married Rebecca.
Death of
Abraham and left all his wealth to his son Isaac, who was the
' hirty-eight years after Sara's death, Abraham died
child through whom God's promise was to be ful lled. Isaac and Ismael, his sons, buried him in the cave beĀ­ side his wife.
