The Nagendrans Remember...
"I last met her (Thilagi Akka) in 2005, at Puni Akka's place when she
visited UK. Thilagi Akka and your dear Dad were very helpful to
Appa & Amma when we first moved to Colombo after many years
out in the sticks and they helped us to settle in to Colombo life".
"I was very fond of your Mother (Thilagi Akka) and knew that
Amma and she became good friends over the years and
corresponded. May she rest in peace after a long and productive
life."
"Deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your siblings. We
all feel the family bond and cherish memories of our long and happy
association."
"Yes, we all loved Thilagi Akka dearly and have cherished memories
of our wonderful times together; rather like an extended family.
We are thankful that we had an opportunity to meet and have such a
stimulating conversation with your Amma in such a peaceful
environment. She seemed to be happy there at the home.
Always hard to bear, but a solace that she was looked after so well to
the end; and had a happy and fulfilled life."
"As a family we treasure the memories of our wonderful times
together; from house visits to family outings and memorable day
trips. I also remember going to Sunday classes with your family and
returning to your place for Thilagi Akka’s gorgeous luncheon
spread.
The wonderful day in Moragala was very special.
My close friendship with Dhamy and her ties with your family
opened up another dimension between friends and family.
